Privacy Policy
Effective date: October 8, 2026
This policy applies to Rumin Transcript, a Chrome browser extension published by Arley Gutierrez under the Rumin brand at gorumin.com.
Summary
Rumin Transcript does not collect, store, or transmit your personal data or meeting transcripts to our servers. All transcript extraction happens locally in your browser on the page you choose.
What the extension does
- Runs only when you click the extension icon and request a download.
- Reads visible transcript content from supported Microsoft Stream / Teams pages in your active tab.
- Builds a text file on your device and triggers a local download through Chrome.
What we do not do
- We do not operate backend servers that receive your transcript text.
- We do not use analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs inside the extension.
- We do not store your Microsoft credentials. You sign in to Microsoft separately in Chrome.
- We do not sell personal data.
Permissions
- activeTab - access the current tab only when you use the extension.
- scripting - run the transcript extractor on supported Microsoft pages.
- downloads - save the generated .txt file to your computer.
- host permissions (SharePoint, Teams) - allow the extension to read transcript DOM on those sites after you are logged in.
Third-party links
If you choose to donate via PayPal, you leave the extension and open PayPal's website under their own terms and privacy policy. That action is optional and initiated only by you.
Children
Rumin Transcript is not directed at children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy on this page. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
